Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Tuesday, April 12th, 2016

Westminster Christian scored in the top of the ninth to beat Doral Academy 3-2 on Tuesday. Jakob Zarello drove in two runs with a home run in the fourth. CJ Calero went 3-for-3 with a double, and Brian Perez (double, RBI) and Michael Marin (double, RBI) each had two hits for the Warriors (18-6-1), which overcame a three-game skid.

Nick Fusco struck out seven in five strong innings to lead Monsignor Pace to a 7-3 win over Key West. Jorge Arenas went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, a walk and stolen base, and Johnathan Reyes-Diaz swiped three bases and scored twice for the Spartans (20-4), who haven’t lost since March 1st.

George Aguilera allowed three hits while striking out four in six strong innings for Westland Hialeah in a 5-0 win over Southwest Miami. Bryan Lavastida went 2-for-4 with three runs, three stolen bases and an RBI, and David Vazquez added three hits, two stolen bases, a run and an RBI for the Wildcats (16-8), winners of five in a row. Evander Hernandez went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
