Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Wednesday, April 27th, 2016

Winning pitcher Edislandy Agusti tossed three and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits, to lead Coral Park to a 12-10 win over Hialeah in a 9A regional quarterfinal Wednesday. Alex Gato went 3-for-3 with a run, and Manuel Montesino added three hits, scored four runs and drove in a run for the Rams (19-8), who will play at Hialeah Gardens in Tuesday’s regional semifinals. Erik Estevez went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs, and Bran Socorro went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs.

Hialeah Gardens beat Miami Senior 6-5 on the strength of a five-run first inning. Allen Berrios went 2-for-3 with a double, walke and two runs, and Mike Ramirez (double, three RBIs), Eddy Nodarse (walk, run) and Arthur Cordovez (run, walk, three RBIs) each had a hit for the Gladiators.

Robert Touron pitched a one-hitter, and Javy Valdes went 3-for-4 to lead Gulliver Prep to 12-0 win over Mater Lakes Academy in a 5A regional quarterfinal. Chase Sanguenetti went 2-for-3 with five RBIs for the Raiders (20-5), who will play at Monsignor Pace in Tuesday’s regional semifinals.
