Bio
Randy graduated from Carol City Senior High in 2005. Sports writer Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald wrote, "He plays the two most unpopular sports in school." Rodriguez was on the bowling team and baseball team. He won the 2004 district championship for singles as well with the boys team giving him his second berth to the state championship tournament. That same year Randy went 4-0 with a 2.49ERA to earn team MVP and All-Dade honorable mention. Rodriguez won honorable mention in athletics in the 2005 Miami Herald Silver Knight Awards. Randy went on to play college baseball for Florida Memorial University before transfering and graduating from Florida State University.
