Westwood Christian 8, Brito 7 – Adam Quinones had the winning RBI on a suicide-squeeze bunt single and Andy Rivera had four strikeouts to earn the win for the Warriors (3-1-1). Miguel Gonzalez was 3-for-4 and had a two-RBI single to tie the game. Anthony Penas was 2-for-2 and Danny Fernandez was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
Coral Gables 8, Miami Springs 6 – The Cavaliers evened their record at 3-3 as Kelvin Nunez was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Coco Montes also tripled and Frankie Montesino was 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and a pair of runs. Jorge Santana took the loss for the Hawks (2-4).
Key West 6, Dade Christian 3 – The Conchs remained unbeaten at 6-0 as Brandon Presley held the Crusaders (2-2) to three runs over six innings. Darren Miller went 2-for-4 and hit a grand slam for the deciding runs.
Sunset 5, Coral Park 3 – Danny Diaz pitched the complete-game while not allowing any earned runs to lift the Knights (5-1). Alex Bravo homered and Alfredo Isler had two doubles and an RBI. Michael Paez was 2-for-3 with two runs. The Rams are 1-3.
Southridge 4, Varela 2 – Dayron Moreno recorded 10 strikeouts to earn the complete-game victory for the Spartans (3-2). Christian Khawam was 2-for-3 with a double, Alex Aguila had a triple and an RBI and Arlain Sesin went 2-for-3 with an RBI. The Vipers (2-4) have lost four straight.
Champagnat 3, Miami Country Day 0 – Abraham Figueira was 3-for-3 to lead the Lions (2-2). Anthony DeJesus and Andy Garcia were both 1-for-3 as Champagnat earned its fourth shutout over the last two seasons. The Spartans are 1-3.
TERRA 10, Doral Academy 0 – Alex Saavedra was 2-for-3 with three RBIs to keep the Wolves unbeaten at 5-0. Angel Mestre was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and two runs and Reuben Pino had a double and three RBIs. The Firebirds (2-3-1) were shut out for the first time since the end of last season.
