Dr. Krop 3, Hialeah Gardens 1 – David Gill doubled and drove in two runs for the Lightning in the District 8A-13 game. Krop won its second in a row to go to .500 at 2-2.


Key West 8, Gulliver Prep 2 – Darren Miller pitched four and two-thirds innings, allowing no hits while meanwhile getting two hits himself and two RBIs in the District 4A-16 game. Hugo Valdes and Gregory Veliz each had two hits. The Conchs remain unbeaten at 7-0.


Doral Academy 4, St. Brendan 1 – The Firebirds rebounded from a loss at Archbishop McCarthy the previous day to get the win. Ryan Gronlier homered, scored and drove in a run, and Christian Martinez went 1-for-2 with a run.


Hialeah 9, North Miami Beach 3 – Alexis Herrara struck out 10 and allowed no walks in six innings as the Thoroughbreds improved to 3-2. Mauricio Cajuso went 1-for-3 with three RBIs and a double, and Alian Silva went 2-for-3.
