Killian 3, LaSalle 1 (9 innings) – Mike Perez went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Zach Polito went 2-for-3 with two runs to help the Cougars (11-4-1) top the Royal Lions (7-8). Joey Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI.
Palmetto 7, Cardinal Mooney 4 – Riley Delgado tripled and scored twice, and Nick Gruener went 1-for-2 with a run and RBI for the Panthers (8-7) in their Sarasota Classic opener.
Westwood Christian 8, Wiregrass Ranch 1 – Luis Diaz went 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs and two RBIs, and Miguel Gonzalez drove in three runs to pace the Warriors (8-7) in the 4Him Classic at Calvary Christian. Anthony Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.
Hialeah 11, Charlotte Amelie 2 – Alexis Herrera pitched five innings, allowing no earned runs and striking out three, and Alex Miret went 2-for-3 with four RBI to lead the Thoroughbreds to their seventh consecutive win as they participate in the Sunshine Classic. Alian Silva went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Jonathan Diaz went 1-for-1 with a double.
Miami Springs 10, Zion Lutheran 5 – Dylan Carter threw five strong innings, and Pedro Rivera went 2-for-5 with four RBIs to help the Golden Hawks (8-7) rebound from two losses in a row. Gabe Gail went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Madison Kreitner went 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
Ocoee 10, Mourning Senior 7 – Alex Vallejo went 3-for-4 with two runs and three RBIs, and Andrew Feldman drove in two runs for the Sharks (3-10), who lost for the second time in a row.
Oxford, Al. 3, Coral Gables 1 – Alex Pinero, Elih Marrero, Kelvin Nunez and German Reyes had hits for the Cavaliers (10-6), who have lost two in a row.
TERRA 14, Southwest Miami 4 – Chris Mourelle went 3-for-3 and drove in three runs to power the Eagles (6-6-1) in the Selective Recruiting Invitational.
Mater Lakes 20, Miami Senior 0 – Alessandro Lima powered the Bears (11-1-1) to their first win in the Selective Recruiting Invitational, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, three runs and four RBI. Alfreddi Ramos went 2-for-4 with a home run, six RBIs and two runs, and Jonathan Lorenzo hit three doubles, drove in two runs and scored three.
Miami Brito 9, South Miami 3 – Juan Carlo Millan went 3-for-4, and Savian Fernandez went 2-for-4 to pace Brito (12-1) as it opened play in the Selective Recruiting Invitational.
Marco Bolano went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Ferguson 6, Hialeah Gardens 2 – Anthony Tucker went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, and Chris Bec went 2 for 3. Chris Medina went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer. Anthony Carra pitched four and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and one earned run. Rafael Jreige got the win in relief, striking out three in an inning and a third.
Southridge 10, Estero 3 – Dayron Moreno struck out 10 in a complete-game effort, and Christian Khawam went 3-for-4 with two doubles to power the Spartans (8-6). Josten Heron went 2-for-4 with four RBIs, and Arlain Sesin hit a grand slam, driving in four runs.
North Miami Beach 10, Reagan 7 – Manuel Matos went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and three RBIs, and Edduin Diaz went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs to lead the Chargers (3-7). Alejandro Martinez went 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and a run. Alejandro Suarez went 1-for-3 with two runs and an RBI. Edgar Pages powered the Bison (8-7), going 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs.
