The players at North Miami Beach got the sweet taste of victory Monday, winning their first game this year. Here’s a look at some of the games played yesterday…
North Miami Beach 10, Carol City 0 – The Chargers picked up their first win of the season in grand fashion on the road Monday against the Chiefs. Adryan Pedraza threw a no-hitter, striking out seven along the way. At the plate, Alejandro Suarez went 4-for-4, Leroy Parker was 2-for-2 with two runs, and Juan Abbot was 1-for-2 with two RBIs to pace the Chargers offense.
Southridge 6, Coral Reef 1 – Isaac DaSilva pitched a complete game for the Spartans, allowing only four hits while striking out eight. Arlain Sesin went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and JP Perez-Castaneda had an RBI. For the Barracudas, Nate Rosa had an RBI and a double, and Matthew Sanchez was 1-for-3. The Spartans moved above .500 at 4-3.
Miami Jackson 17, North Miami 0 – Winning pitcher Juan Nunez struck out four while giving up no hits and walking none in the big win over the Pioneers. The win is only the second of the year for the Generals. Francisco Brenes drew three walks and belted a pair of doubles. Aramis Montenegro and Juan Patricio each went 2-for-4 with a double, and Daniel Santana also had two hits.
