Varela 5, Coral Park 3 (9 innings) – Jonathan Bermudez went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Jeremy Jones went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Vipers (8-6), who have won three in a row. Ben Murray had a hit and drove in two runs.
Norland 12, Miami Central 2 – Winning pitcher James McKenney threw five innings of three-hit ball, striking out seven and allowing two earned runs for the Vikings (6-10), who broke a two-game losing streak with the victory.
Coral Shores 7, Palmer Trinity 2 – Justin Ziegelasch and Iggy Pigna had hits and drove in runs for the Hurricanes (10-10), who are on a three-game winning streak.
Miami Sunset 12, South Miami 1 – Alex Bravo went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBIs, and Michael Centeno went 2-for-2 with two RBIs to pace the Knights (13-6) in the 8A-15 matchup. Jorge Lopez went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, and Alfredo Iser added two hits, two runs and an RBI.
Killian 2, American 1 – Nick Mara went 3-for-3 and Zach Polito 2-for-3 with a stolen base for the Cougars (14-6-1), who have now won two in a row. Ryan Sabbag drove in a run.
Goleman 7, Mater Lakes Academy 6 – Kevin Gomez went 2-for-5 with an RBI, and Cory Garrastazu went 3-for-6 with two RBIs for the Gators (15-6), who won their third in a row. Jose Santos had two hits, drove in a run and scored another. Jordan Cox went 3-for-5 with a run, and Alejandro Castillo, Jonathan Flores, Alex Lorenzo and Anthony Rondon each had two hits and scored for the Bears (13-4-1).
Westwood Christian 10, Reagan 6 – Luis Diaz went 2-for-4 with three runs and an RBI, and Anthony Penas went 2-for-3 with a run and RBI for the Warriors (13-4-1), who are on a two-game winning streak. Brandon Nayor and Antony Gonzalez scored twice each. Sergio Santana, Brandon Romero, Joe Diaz and Yoandry Perez each had two hits and scored. Perez also drove in four runners.
Miami Springs 6, Hialeah 4 – Juan Kirk went 4-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, and Scottie Lopez, Emmanuel Alfaro and Madison Kreitner had two hits apiece for the Golden Hawks (11-9), who have won two in a row. Kreitner scored twice and drove in three.
Westland Hialeah 5, Mourning Senior 4 – Julio Fumero went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Frankie Morejon hit the game-winning double in the bottom of the seventh for the Wildcats (9-8), who have won three of their past four games.
Dade Christian 5, Archbishop Curley 3 – Anthony Martel went 3-for-3 with two doubles and Anthony Munoz swiped two bases for the Crusaders (7-13). Nick Cue threw five innings for the win.
