Coral Gables 12, Florida Christian 7 – Alex Pinero went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBIs, and Frankie Montesino went 2-for-3 with a run and three RBIs for the Cavaliers (13-8), who bounced back from a lost to Hialeah in their last game. Elih Marraro, German Reyes, Coco Montes, Jesus Pineda and Yoan Gonzalez each had two hits.


Sunset 6, Ferguson 4 – Alex Bravo went 4-for-4 with an RBI, and Nico Machado went 2-for-2 with an RBI for the Knights (14-6) in the 8A-15 matchup. Herbert Iser and Alfredo Iser each went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Sunset is on a two-game winning streak.


TERRA 11, Miami Beach 1 – Yasser Santana went 1-for-2 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs, and Alex Saavedra added two hits and three RBIs for the Wolves (8-11). Frank Bartow went 2-for-3 with two runs.


Westwood Christian 6, St. Brendan 1 – Anthony Penas homered, scored twice and drove in a run, and Miguel Gonzalez drove in two runs for the Warriors (11-4-1), who have won two in a row.


Reagan 9, Dr. Krop 1 – Sergio Santana went 2-for-2 with three RBIs, and Paul Mendez went 2-for-3 with three runs to pace the Bison (10-9), who got back in the win column following two straight losses. Luis Rincon doubled in two runs, and Joe Diaz went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs.


Southwest Miami 3, Coral Park 0 – Robert Cancio went 2-for-2 with an RBI, and Alex Perera struck out six in a complete-game effort and also had a hit and drove in a run for the Eagles (11-7). Danny Casals went 1-for-4 with an RBI.


Southwest 8, Coral Park 7 – Carlos Pena hit a homer in the top of the eighth to lift the Eagles (11-7) in a game continued from March 5. Luis Gutierrez went 2-for-5, and Danny Casals had two hits as well. Alex Perera drove in two runs.


Mater Academy 13, Mourning 0 – JC Escarra and Deyvid Silva had three hits and combined for three runs and five RBIs to lead the Lions (17-2) in the 6A-16 matchup. Danny Reyes, Willie Abreu, Kevin Abraham, Mike Escarra and Alex Rodriguez all had two hits. Mater is 12-0 in the district.
North Miami Beach 9, Dade Christian 3 – Alejandro Suarez threw a complete game, and Manuel Matos hit a three-run home run to pace the Chargers (4-9), who bounced back from being mercy-ruled by Hialeah in their previous game. Leroy Parker went 1-for-2 with three runs.
