South Dade 8, Varela 3 – Adam Roush allowed two hits and struck out nine over six shutout innings to lead the Buccaneers (14-9) to the championship game, where they await the winner of Tuesday’s contest between Southridge and Killian.
Roush improved to 7-2 for the season, and also helped his own cause at the plate by going 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs.
