Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Monday, February 10th, 2013

The official first day of the 2014 season was an exciting one in Miami. Ferguson and Columbus each got off to big starts in their first games. Columbus beat rival Belen Jesuit and Ferguson topped Palmetto in nine-innings. In inter-county play Miami’s Archbishop Curley topped Broward’s Sheridan Hills, and a young Miami Pace team fell to the perennial Broward powerhouse Flanagan. WP - Danny Iglesias  LP - Danny Diaz  S - Anthony Alvarez View Game Stats Recap/Standouts Willie Padron and Anthony Alvarez paced the Bulldogs offense in the opener of the 7-3 victory over Knights. Padron went 3-4, with a double, four stolen bases, and two runs, while Alvarez added two hits, a double, and two RBIs. Alvarez also picked up the save, striking out three in the process. Danny Iglesias notched his first win of the season for Braddock.
