Don’t look now, but Miami Senior has already matched their win total from last year, and is in position to play for a PAL tournament championship later this week after a big win over Braddock. In a battle of two state semi-finalists from a year ago, Florida Christian edged out American 2-1 behind a Ruban Somelian game-winning hit. Miami Sunset evened their record at 1-1 with a 12-2 win over Westland Hialeah. Killian used a five-run sixth, and a walk-off home run from Spencer Levine to stun Gulliver 8-7, and Norland won their first game of 2014 7-5. Miami Springs threw a shutout in their opener.
