Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Thursday, March 26th, 2015

Florida Christian broke out of its slump with a big win Thursday, defeating Montverde Academy 11-2 in the Florida League Invitational. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Patriots, who improved to 7-8.

Kevin Gomez went 4-for-5 with three runs and an RBI, and Brandon Paez went 3-for-5 with three doubles and four RBIs to power Goleman to an 11-4 win over Battleground Academy in the National Classic in Pompano Beach. Erick Delgado added two hits, including a homer, driving in three runs.

The HSBN March Madness Shootout wrapped up Thursday with Braddock, Archbishop Carroll, SLAM and Coral Gables representing Miami-Dade with wins. See our tournament coverage for more information.
