Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015

Carter Nash walked in for the winning run as Palmetto edged South Dade 1-0 in eight innings in an 8A-16 game Tuesday. The Panthers improved to 4-0 in the district as they came back from their first loss of the year.

Ogandys Diaz and Giovanni Arrier combined for 12 strikeouts in Westland Hialeah’s 8-3 win over Reagan in 7A-13. The Wildcats improved to 3-0 in the district.

Andrew Velez allowed two hits and a run while walking one and striking out six in SLAM’s 13-1 win over Westwood Christian in 3A-15. He also went 3-for-4 with five RBIs and a run.

Carlos Marrero pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts in St. Brendan’s 3-1 win over LaSalle in a 4A-15 game. The Sabres are now 5-1 in the district as they won their third in a row.
