Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Wednesday, March 4th, 2015

LaSalle got a much-needed pick-me-up by edging Monsignor Pace 3-2 in a 4A-15 game Wednesday. The win snapped a three-game losing streak and gave the Royal Lions their first victory in the district.

Tyler Santana pitched six innings of two-hit ball, striking out nine as Coral Gables edged South Miami 2-0 in an 8A-15 game. The Cavaliers improved to 3-1 in the district.

In another 8A-15 game, Willie Padron homered and drove in two runs in Braddock’s 2-1 win over Ferguson. Nelson Alvarez struck out eight in a complete-game effort. It was the fourth win for Braddock, keeping them at the top of the district as they won their fourth in a row.

David Cervantes struck out 10 in six innings for Miami Springs in its 8-2 win over Norland in 6A-15.
