Mater Lakes, Columbus, Florida Christian and Coral Gables won their district playoff games Tuesday to advance.
In 4A-15, Mater Lakes edged LaSalle 2-1 with a two-run sixth inning. The Lions move on to face top-seeded Monsignor Pace at 7 p.m. tonight in a semifinal.
Also in 4A-15, Florida Christian piled on the offense with a 24-hit attack in a 22-0 win over Booker T. Washington. The Patriots will play St. Brendan in a semifinal at 4 p.m. today.
Columbus overcame a 6-2 deficit to beat Ferguson 12-6 in 8A-15. They’ll face Coral Gables in Thursday’s championship. The Cavaliers shut out Braddock 6-0 to advance.
