Miami Brito broke open a close game in the bottom of the sixth, scoring three runs en route to a 6-4 win over Champagnat in an 2A-8 game Tuesday. Leo Vasquez went 2-for-3 with a triple and walk, and Luiz Ruiz doubled and drove in a run for the Panthers (3-0, 2-0). Onelio Perdomo had a hit, walked and drove in a run.

Homestead overcame a two-game losing streak by beating Booker T. Washington 11-1. Tony Perez struck out six in four innings, allowing four hits, to earn the win. David Munoz went 2-for-3 with a double, home run and five RBIs, and Jose Navarro went 3-for-3 with a double and RBI for the Broncos (2-2).
