Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Friday, March 4th, 2016

Lizandro Echemendia pitched a complete game to earn the win as Archbishop Carroll held off a comeback by Dade Christian to win 5-4 on Friday in a 3A-8 game. Jimmy Heyworth went 2-for-4 with a run, and Sal Lorenzo homered and drove in two runs for the Bulldogs (7-2, 3-0). Jonathan Leon doubled and drove in a run, and Paolo Maldonado had a hit and RBI.

Florida Christian edged Westminster Christian 4-3 to hand the Warriors their first loss this season. The Patriots improved to 7-2 overall and 1-0 in 4A-8. Westminster fell to 9-1, 4-1.

Doral Academy won its fourth in a row as it rallied for five runs in the fifth and sixth innings to overcome a three-run deficit to win 6-3.
