Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Monday, March 14th, 2016

Norland snapped a three-game losing streak as it rallied for two runs in the bottom of the eighth to beat North Miami Beach 6-5 in a 6A-16 game. Max Gordon went 2-for-2 with a double and two walks, and Mekhai West doubled.

Anselmo Suarez pitched a complete game with five strikeouts to lead Hialeah past Coral Gables 9-5 in a 9A-13 game. Adrian Negrin went 2-for-3 with a run and RBI, and Johnathan Sanchez added two hits and scored for the Thoroughbreds (7-4). Daniel Nieto went 2-for-3 with a run and RBI.

George Aguilera struck out seven in five and one-third innings and scored in Westland Hialeah’s 3-1 win over Reagan in an 8A-16 game. Giovanni Arriera struck out four in just one and two-third innings as the Wildcats rebounded from Friday’s loss to improve to 9-3, 6-0. Evander Hernandez (two runs, 2B, 3B, BB) and Ronaldo Martinez (two RBIs, 2B) each had two hits.
