Southwest’s Christian Caro went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs, but his finest moment Wednesday was simply going for a walk — a walk with the bases loaded the allowed the winning run to score in a 6-5 win over Reagan on Wednesday. Pablo Mendez went 3-for-3, and Gian Carlo Garces (two RBIs), Danny Cruz and Lewis Romero each had two hits for the Eagles (9-9), who won their third in a row.

Daniel Nieto (double, two RBIs) and John Venegas each had two hits to lead Hialeah to a 3-0 win over Columbus. Adrian Gomez scored twice, and Andres Rodriguez pitched a two-hitter with three strikeouts for the Thoroughbreds (9-9), who snapped a five-game losing streak.
