Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Monday, April 11th, 2016

Bryan Lavastida pitched four innings and went 5-for-5 with two runs and three RBIs to lead Westland Hialeah to a 5-4 upset of South Dade in 10 innings Monday. Jorge Diaz went 2-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI, and Giovanni Arriera struck out eight in six innings, allowing three hits, for the Wildcats (15-8).

Albert Sanchez pitched two innings in relief, allowing no hits while striking out three, and also drove in the winning run in the top of the seventh as i-Mater nipped Nova 1-0. Angel Mediavilla struck out three and allowed two hits in five innings for the Knights (7-11).

Hector Rodriguez (RBI, two runs), Gio Campo (RBI), Julio Santana (RBI) and Ricky Guerrero (two runs, two RBIs) each had two hits in Miami Jackson’s 6-4 win over Westwood Christian. Joel Rivera struck out four in four and two-thirds innings for the Generals (10-9).
