Columbus opened the BSN Tournament with a shutout victory over Hialeah Gardens, one of three shutouts posted in Miami-Dade on Monday’s Opening Day action. Chris Gonzalez struck out six in six innings of work to earn the first win for the Explorers, who are coming off back-to-back seasons of playing in the state final.
