| Alex Bravo was born and raised in Miami, Florida where he attended Miami Sunset Senior High School. During his senior year he was a part of the first District Champion Baseball team in the 50-year history of Miami Sunset. He went on to receive awards for All-County Catcher from the Miami Herald and HSBN, and also was selected to the FACA All-Star Classic. For college Alex attended Mississippi Valley State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. As a 4-year letterman in baseball, he went on to win the Most Improved Player Award on his team in his Junior and Senior years. He was named to the SWAC (South Western Athletic Conference) all-academic team 4 years in a row. After graduation Alex went on to become a graduate assistant baseball coach for MVSU for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, with his focus on assisting with the catchers. While at Valley he also helped the basketball and football teams during his baseball off seasons by filming games, which led to him being named Video Coordinator for the football team for 2018-2019. This will be his third year coaching baseball at Downtown Doral. |
